Prices here are much lower than in U.S. St. Thomas. Cheapest electronics you will find in electronic store in “Boolchands”. Indian staff, who is working here is very helpful, professional and ready to make sufficient discount for you. On your way to this shop quite pretty girl will offer you free taste of coconut milk, it’s very sweet and if you like it, you more than welcome to buy some. On market plaza square you see a monument of previous governor of this island and his biography on the black marble frame beneath.

Water taxi station is located on market plaza as well. For 8 US bucks you can make a round trip to closest beach.
But if you are young, want to save some money and do some sightseeing you can walk by your legs. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the nearest and very beautiful beach. You need to go to road under nearest mountain, turn left, pass by this road about 500 meters until first fuel refill station and than turn left.
Nobody will be able to describe beach which you will see there. Clear white sand and clearest blue-green water, a lot of pubs and bars, a lot available chairs and motorbike’s exhibition. Time passes quickly here.

Downtown is situated little bit farer from the beach. On the main street you can find a lot of more serious shops jewelry, liquors and cigars widest choice everywhere! Prices here and salesmen’s ability to reduce the price will surprise you as well. A lot of water fountains is here, your can see a big fish in channels under some bridges. All is shiny and very neat in this guest area. This is Philipsburg, a capital city.
