Ocho Rios, Jamaica

There are so many incredible destinations in the Caribbean which deserve name “paradise”. One of them is Ocho Rios, port on north coast of Jamaica. In translation from Spanish this word means “Eight rivers”.

My trip on this island was short so I haven’t time to see even one river. I had only one hour of break to visit motherland of most famous rum, hot pretty ladies and terrific Bob Marley’s music.

Ocho Rios looked little bit like Crimean main resort peninsula of my native country. Two checkpoints with security looked strict but indeed they were lazy because of hot and also it was sultry. Actually, it was August s’ time of hurricanes.

I still can’t figure out how Jamaican people build such a high buildings taking into consideration that kind of climate.

I was surprised that I haven’t seen large market nearby the port. Area was clear and there was a lot of surrounding table-pointers. On one of them I read: “Bob Marley’s grave in 8 miles”. I got very upset that I cannot go there, took some pictures together with my Byelorussian teammate and gone back.
