Sand island with 2 trees, Belize
If you coming here by cruise ship, you have to use tender to get ashore. Usually this distance is about 2-3 miles. It’s very easy to figure out what you will see first. This is impressive trade promenade, which lay along all shore. Here you can buy probably everything except nuclear bomb. Area around port is very accurate but if you enter city farer you will feel real Central American life with unattended dogs, marihuana and other joys of extreme life. In some places you will see people whom you shouldn’t trust. They like to gather somewhere and watch who came to their island. During the daytime just don’t pay attention on them. There are a lot of cabs here, they able to take wherever you wish.
Underwater, diving
Usually people come to Belize for diving and snorkeling, but one of the most popular places also is Mayan ruins. They are situated nearby the Mexican border and it takes about 3 hours to get there by car. All comments I have heard about that place were: “Splendid! Gorgeous! Outstanding!”
For sure you have to visit local zoo to see muscular jaguars and other fauna.
Another place worth to be visited is pond with old white crocodile. Ask taxi man to take you there. But pay attention on both of them (driver and alligator). One my friend who used to live here all his life told me that there are a lot of crocodiles like that in the mangroves nearby the places where local rivers are entering the Caribbean.
For your information I placed pictures of some local coins:
5, 25 Cents and 1 dollar of Belize
