<p>So, one hot day in June our vessel has been entered the harbor of one tropical island. It looked, probably, in the same way like in Columbus times – white edging of the beach and thick green jungles behind.</p>
<p align="center"><a title=" Half Moon Cay, the Bahamas" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas002.jpg" border="0" alt="Tender, ocean and island Half Moon Cay" width="378" height="285" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Tender, ocean and island Half Moon Cay</p>
<p>Because of shoaling water liner could not come close to the shore, so we sat into the tender – motor boat, loaded all necessary and sailed to the port. Mooring was situated almost in the middle of the island and channel with rocky banks led to it.</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Rocky banks of channel to port" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas003.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas004.jpg" border="0" alt="Rocky banks of channel to port" width="378" height="284" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Rocky banks of channel to port</p>
<p>Half Moon Cay turned out as small, so to speak, standard island of commercial advertisements – white sand and palms were everywhere. We landed to quite usual mooring with adjoining sea-front street, everything was covered with tiles. An enormous amount of various tropical plants grew around.</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Arc nearby the mooring" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas005.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas006.jpg" border="0" alt="Arc nearby the mooring" width="378" height="284" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Arc nearby the mooring</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Same arc from other side" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas007.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas008.jpg" border="0" alt="Same arc from other side" width="378" height="284" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Same arc from other side</p>
<p>Farther – arc with inscription &#8220;Fort San – Salvador&#8221;, (and from reverse, inside, side of arc – &#8220;Welcome to the pirates cove&#8221;), then central square.</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Central square" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas009.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas010.jpg" border="0" alt="Central square" width="378" height="284" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Central square</p>
<p>On this area I found bar, fountain, similar to letter &#8220;L&#8221; corner of shops (trading organize only your cruise company). Also I noticed a flagpole with three flags, only one of them I recognized – it was Bahamian.</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Flags on sea-front street" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas011.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas012.jpg" border="0" alt="Flags on sea-front street" width="378" height="284" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Flags on sea-front street</p>
<p>Beyond the bounds of square – roads of white sand, which in Europe is in sale for good money, and here it&#8217;s a ground. And, by the way, when I decided to get a hollow of it for one of friends, I found deep mixture which proved also as sand. And how all this richest flora able to grow here!</p>
<p align="center"><a href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas013.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas014.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="378" height="286" /></a></p>
<p align="center">Street</p>
<p>Neatly pollarded bushes are used as fences nearby sandy roads.</p>
<p>There was a ladder on the arc, after I got up by its stairs; I discovered a beautiful view on the harbor, actually on whole island, fully covered with green bedspread of jungles. Church with bell tower was visible as well.</p>
<p align="center"><a title="Bahama Church" href="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas015.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/images/bahamas/half-moon-cay-bahamas016.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="378" height="504" /></a></p>
