Stand with local map was also here. A watermelon with interesting shape grew in closest garden, and it wasn’t only one. But judging by scale of its planting it was used in decorative aims.

After that we went on small jeep to the place of our immediate work. We were passing across the seashore from where we could observe a wonderful view on the beach.

There were an enormous number of small birds around. Area for barbeque, which was organized by my company, became a place of our work. Fully-equipped kitchen was here with large counter, as well as huge amount of tables under the sheds and formed tracks, which connected this entire complex, and, of course, bar. Plenty of blooming flowers remained everywhere. Nearby of some plants I saw plates with their names. Also close to this place I found round stop, also covered with tiles, with proud name “Tram station”. Naturally, trams could not be found here, evidently something like sand vehicles went here. It was extremely hot and it was impossible to survive without cold water. We finished our work without any special events, swam little bit in ocean, and until 2 p.m. came back to the ship. But it’s only my story. You have much more opportunities for outstanding spending time ashore. As a employee of cruise company I consider to inform you about list of possible activities here. So, ladies and gentlemen, for your consideration – just beach, cabana rental, private oasis rental (with personnel and all possible comforts), aqua-trax watercraft adventure (valid driver’s license needed), diving, deep sea fishing, eco lagoon tour with re-constructed Arawak Indian fishing village – first inhabitants of island, underwater tour on glass bottom boat, historic nature walk, horseback riding and bike tour, parasailing (attitude varies and may be as high as 600 feet), stingray encounter and tropical kayak adventure. Watch closely – the Bahamas are famous not only of its beauty but also with its prices! What about my impression of this island? It was really splendid, despite of hard work and heat. I liked not typical isolation of it, generally private isle, you see, and actually passengers of only one ship spend time here. Cleanness, lack of persistent trading, good communications, unique beauty and really untouched nature make Half Moon Cay very attractive. Only sun is very evil here !
